How to Request Account Deletion
1. Email eric@iemoji.com with the subject iEmoji Companion account deletion.
2. Identify your account. Send the request from the email address associated with your account when possible. If you registered using a phone number, include that number with its country code. If you cannot access your account email, explain that in your request. Do not send your password or verification codes.
3. Confirm that you want your account and associated data permanently deleted. We may ask you to verify account ownership before processing the request. We will reply with any required verification steps and information about processing your request.
iEmoji Companion and iEmoji.com share the same account. Deleting it removes access across those services. Deletion is permanent; registering again creates a new account and does not restore the previous data.
Data We Delete
Account deletion removes your account details, including your name, email address or phone number, password hash, linked sign-in information, chat identity, device records, sessions, and verification records.
It also removes posts and generated message images associated with the account, account-linked emoji selections and usage activity, community interactions and records linked to the account, and feedback that we can associate with your account or its email address. Tell us about any feedback submitted without your account email so we can identify it.
Account records and linked posts are removed when deletion is processed. Generated image removal from storage and delivery caches runs separately and may take additional time. Contact eric@iemoji.com if you need an update on your email request or image cleanup.
Data We Keep and Retention Periods
Anonymous deletion record: we retain a random deletion reference, request and completion dates, and total post and emoji-selection counts. This record does not include your former account ID, name, email address, phone number, chat identity, or post text. There is no scheduled deletion period for this anonymous record.
Production website server logs: these logs are automatically deleted after one month. Account deletion does not immediately erase individual entries from those logs; they expire under the same one-month retention schedule.
Backups and support correspondence: deleting the active account does not automatically erase backup copies or emails you have sent to support. These records currently have no scheduled automatic deletion period and may be retained indefinitely. If your request concerns personal information in these records, identify it in your email so we can review its removal and any security or legal retention requirements.
Other copies and unlinked activity: we cannot remove copies of public content saved by other people. Anonymous activity or feedback that was never linked to your account may remain unless you provide enough information for us to identify it.
