Emoji keyboard help
Use Emoji on Windows, MacOS, and iOS
Emoji is built into modern phones and computers. There is nothing to buy, install, or unlock for normal emoji use.

Windows
Open the Windows emoji panel anywhere you can type.
- Click into a text box, document, message, or search field.
- Press Windows + . or Windows + ;.
- Pick an emoji from the panel. You can search, browse categories, or click recently used emoji.
If the shortcut does not open the panel, your Windows version may be older. You can still copy and paste emoji from iEmoji.com.

Use the built-in Character Viewer to insert emoji.
- Click where you want the emoji to appear.
- Press Control + Command + Space.
- Choose an emoji, or type a word like heart or smile to search.
Most MacOS apps also have this under Edit > Emoji & Symbols.
iOS

The emoji keyboard no longer needs to be unlocked at all. Just use the Globe button.
Tap the Globe next to the space bar when the keyboard is open.
- Open Messages, Notes, Mail, or any app where you can type.
- Tap the Globe button to switch to the emoji keyboard.
- If you have several keyboards, press and hold the Globe button, then choose Emoji.
If Emoji is missing, add it under Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards > Add New Keyboard > Emoji.
