Printer Icon refers to a proposed or discussed office-technology pictograph concept from the broader era of early emoji and Unicode symbol expansion, when many everyday computer-interface icons were being considered for emoji-style use. A printer did eventually become represented in Unicode as the printer emoji, but the specific idea of a separate βPrinter Iconβ candidate was not established as its own distinct officially approved emoji name. The concept would have been intended to mean printing, paperwork, office tasks, school assignments, forms, receipts, documentation, or the frustration of printer errors.
