South East Pointing Bud is best understood as an ornamental Unicode symbol concept rather than a mainstream emoji candidate. It refers to a small plant-bud or floral dingbat pointing toward the lower right, in the same family of decorative leaf and vine symbols that were discussed around broader pictographic and emoji-style symbol expansion in the early-to-mid 2010s. Although the idea fits the visual language of emoji, it never became an officially approved emoji with standard emoji presentation on major platforms. Its role is closer to a typographic ornament, divider, or decorative marker than to a face, object, or emotion emoji.

Emoji History The emoji code/ image log of changes.
This emoji was one of the "suggested emojis" the Unicode group unveiled in June 2014 [article], however, it has been, and still is, up to the companies who support emoji in their operating systems to provide not only images but also an algorithm to replace the emoji code into the emoji image.
