Light skin tone is the emoji modifier U+1F3FB, officially named EMOJI MODIFIER FITZPATRICK TYPE-1-2. It is applied immediately after a compatible base emoji (one with the Emoji_Modifier_Base property) to produce a single, tone-adjusted emoji, such as a hand or person shown with a light complexion. This creates an emoji modifier sequence that typically renders as one grapheme cluster and one visual emoji; no zero width joiner is required. If a platform or app lacks support, the modifier may appear as a separate light-colored swatch or a missing-glyph box alongside the base character.
