Tag Latin Small Letter U is a Unicode tag character (U+E0075) from the Tags block, representing the lowercase letter āuā for use inside emoji tag sequences. It is an invisible, non-spacing formatting character and does not function as a standalone emoji or display a visible symbol by itself. In emoji systems, tag letters are placed after the Black Flag (U+1F3F4) and terminated by CANCEL TAG (U+E007F) to form special tag-based flag sequences, notably the standardized subdivision flags for England, Scotland, and Wales. The letter āuā itself is not used in those three standardized sequences, so it appears primarily in nonstandard or private tag strings that usually do not render with a special emoji result.
