The round pushpin is the internet’s “I’m here” beacon—aka the classic red pin you drop when you want people to pull up, find the vibe, or remember a key detail. It tags meet-up spots, travel brags, and restaurant recs, but it also moonlights as a digital highlighter: pin this, remember that, don’t lose the plot. In meme-speak, it can mark the exact coordinates of chaos (“drama located precisely here”) or spotlight a spicy take you want front-and-center. It’s flirty when paired with “drop your pin,” dramatic when used to mark the scene of the tea, and practical when you’re corralling friends who type “where u at” like it’s a spell.
Definition
A pushpin with a round head. The pushpins with round heads are normally longer than a normal pushpin. There best application is on a wall that was designed specifically for their use, such as a cork board wall. Round pushpins are often associated with travel and marking spots around the world. Most frequently seen in physical form on a large wall map. Many digital applications have incorporated round pushpins as well. Sometimes mistaken for a lollipop. Can also be used when discussing body piercings given its resemblance to half of a barbell piece of jewelry.
