The bathtub emoji 🛁 is the internet’s universal sign for “brb, entering spa mode.” It’s used for self-care check-ins, Sunday resets, and dramatic “washing the drama off” posts after messy group chats. People pair it with wine glasses, candles, sparkles, soap, or a rubber duck to sell the bubble-bath fantasy, or use it ironically to say they’re “washed” (as in, retired from the streets or too tired for plans). It can also be a flirty hint—think bath-bomb pics and soft lighting—or the cinematic “crying in the tub” energy when life is a whole movie.
Definition
A bathtub with shower fixture. People take baths to get clean. Children often prefer a bath to a shower since the water does not shoot out from above and get into their eyes. A claw foot tub, a large water basin sitting on four feet, is the easiest way to identify a bath, although they are not as common as they used to be.
