Surprise in lowercase—that’s this one. Don’t mix it up with the shushing face (🤫 with a finger to the lips) or the astonished face (😲 with a full capital‑O mouth and bigger eyes). It’s often paired with eyes or sparkles for extra drama, and used ironically to act shocked about something everyone saw coming.
On Apple devices, expect a round yellow face shaded from lemon to gold, straight on, with lifted brows, simple black‑dot eyes, and a tiny open “o” mouth—no hands or finger—capturing that held‑breath look. Think “gobsmacked, but with indoor voice,” perfect for spoilers, awkward realizations, or when your bank app loads and you whisper yikes to yourself.
It’s the internet’s soft gasp—the respectful kind after hearing spicy tea. The hushed face carries the “oh…” vibe when you’re low‑key shook, politely stunned, or pretending to be innocent after getting caught lurking. You’ll see it under plot‑twist TikToks, in group chats when the receipts hit, or when a friend says “don’t freak out” and you are, in fact, freaking out—quietly. It can be flirty or teasing too, the text‑based raised eyebrow: a gentle “oh?” that says keep talking.

A face with round open eyes, round open mouth and eyebrows. Shush… this emoji awaits your response in quiet anticipation.
