The bald character is an emoji hair component (U+1F9B2) used to indicate a bald hairstyle in person emoji sequences. On its own, it typically displays as a single pictograph showing a bald head, and it has default emoji presentation on modern platforms. When used in Zero Width Joiner (ZWJ) sequences with person bases like person, man, or woman, it helps form composite emojis such as person: bald, man: bald, and woman: bald, where the component itself does not appear separately. Skin tone is applied to the base person emoji rather than to this component, with the recommended order being person + skin tone + ZWJ + bald.
